A Message from Rob Colwell
Chair of West Norfolk Liberal Democrats

Dear Member,

Since the referendum over twelve months ago the membership of our local party has grown hugely, enhancing our opportunity to speak out more effectively in defence of liberal values. The next twelve months will be crucially important both locally and nationally. On the national scene the Brexit negotiations appear to be moving closer to "no deal", potentially creating a major political crisis in Britain. Locally, Norfolk County Council is already faced with major cuts to public services and may soon be faced with further challenges as the economy continues to weaken as a consequence of Brexit. These cuts will threaten many vital public services on which local residents currently rely.

Our local party's Annual General Meeting is to be held on Saturday, 25th November. All members of the local party are invited to attend. After the formal business of the meeting has concluded we will then have the opportunity to have a wide-ranging informal discussion of the challenges likely to face the party locally and nationally in the coming months.

After the AGM and discussion light refreshments will be available and I very much hope you will be able to stay for an informal chat with other members.

In order to help us plan for the event, please let us know whether you are able to join us (info@westnorfolklibdems.org.uk).

I hope to see you on 25th November.

Rob
