Norfolk's Conservative MPs criticised for failing to support the county
The Conservative leader of Norfolk county council has launched an extraordinary attack on Norfolk's MPs. In a radio interview Cllr Jordan said that some local Conservative MPs need to work harder and to stop knocking Norfolk.
As the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for South West Norfolk, I share some of his concerns.
At Westminster, the current MP for South West Norfolk makes frequent statements on behalf of the Government in her other role as a Treasury minister. But she is far less vocal about the area that she was elected to represent - I have discovered that Elizabeth Truss hasn't made a single statement referring to any of the towns in our constituency since 2014.
This is our Conservative MP who claims to be "a strong voice at Westminster for South West Norfolk" on her website. A 'strong voice' that has remained silent for four years.
